She has a gunter rig for it’s efficiency and to keep the spar lengths down. She is both fast and very stable and her side decks (which increase her range of buoyancy) plus side bench seating give her crew the feel of sitting ‘in’ her rather than ‘on’ her.
There is plenty of space for storage and her relatively light weight makes her easy to trail, launch and recover.
The Cegall is constructed with a pre-shaped ply centre girder forming the centreboard case and stem – this is epoxied to the narrow flat centre hull panel to form a very strong ‘T’ girder onto which the ply frames and transom are fixed. Following the finishing of the basic ply framework, the pre-shaped ply hull panels are fitted and the chines finished with epoxy.
